Plymouth!!

The National Marina Aquarium in Plymouth is the largest aquarium in the United Kingdom. Sounds fun or not? :)

All of us :)
Holiday started, my friends and I are getting sick of Torquay and we dont know what to do. We decided to visit Plymouth, it is one of the largest towns here in Devon. My international friends and I met in front of the Torquay train station at eleven o clock.. Soo early, I had nearly one week holiday but I didnt slept well... I always had to get up too early because of meetings and stuff.. xD

International friends :D
A day return ticket to Plymouth costs 4 Pounds. Not bad, and the entrance to the aquarium costs 8 Pounds for students. We had a really nice tour through the aquarium, it was wonderful. I never went to an aquarium before so it was very interesting for me. The blue water, lots of different fishes, we were so busy taking pictures of everything xD

Mira was so exited.. :D
It was very sad that the aquarium is actually smaller than I imagined. We finished everything within one hour, I expected to be there like four hours.. Largest aquarium in the UK, yeah sure..-.-
After the visit in the aquarium we went to the town center to eat something, we walked by an Indish all you can eat buffet for only 5 Pounds per person. We walked in and realised that we were the only costumer in the whole restaurant. It was weird, but we stayed and had awesome food. I still dont know why the restaurant was without costumers, the food was just amazing.. After recovering energy by eating we went to the town center, visited some shops and then went home after an amazing day :)

Three plates of that are needed to fill me up :D

On the next day I went to Plymouth again, but this time with the Germans. We didnt visited the aquarium because most of them wanted to go shopping. We started to eat something in Subway and then to a shopping center, which is comparable with the Berliner Arkaden. Not so big but with a lot of shops. Sadly I went home very early because I have to save money so I told my hostmum that I will have dinner at home :)
After dinner I met with my international friends in town and went to the beach in hope to see some shooting stars but that didnt happen...
Only three days to go then I will be in London :D Finally... Looking so forward to it :D
More shopping, more wasted money :D

Holiday!!

Finally..
After such a long time full of pain.. Holiday!! :D
Just kidding, school isnt that bad here, but I am still happy that we got holiday now. And we are lucky, unlike most of the other schools around Torquay we have 2 weeks holiday, the others just have one.
The last three schooldays were really relaxed, but the teacher gave us tons of homework.. For example maths.. We have three different teacher and all of them gave us like at least 10 exercises to do.
The last schooldays was really funny, the kids who are not in the sixth form could wear normal clothes, so it was kind of weird to see them in normal clothes like in Germany.. I think I used to see them in school uniforms xD

Enjoying the weather :D
You wont believe it but today I woke up at 10 o clock.. Of course for some reason.. :D
I went with the international students to Brodys, it is a restaurant with an all you can eat breakfast offer for only 6,95 Pounds! We ate lots of stuff and we were all filled up in the end.. I felt like to explode.. With a full stomach we went down the beach to the cliff, the weather was good, so I propose to go to the cliff and maybe even the hole...

After 3 plates I couldnt eat anything more..
Sadly the flood was there again so we just sat on a big rock, enjoying the sun and taking pictures. Next time we will definitely discover the hole... It was like 2 steps away...-.-

Slovak Family sleeping :)
After recovering energy we moved our location to Caffe Nero, buying drinks and talked to each other :)
It is such a coincidence that I met them.. If I imagine that I am still at Teignmouth Community College... Well I wouldnt have holidays now and probably not that kind of friends. I heard from a friend, who is attending to this school, that he wants to change school as well because the people there are just to ignorant for exchange students and he cant make any friends there. I moved after 2 weeks to Westlands and I made lots of new friends there, which is in my opinion very impressive.. I cant imagine a life here in Torquay without them, it will be surely hard to say good bye if we going home after 8 month.. But there is plenty of time which I should and must enjoy with them and the Germans :)

At Rowans :)
I will meet them later again, relaxing on the beach in the evening and looking for shooting stars :D
There are rumors about them falling from the sky like 100 per hour :D
I will go on Monday with them to the biggest aquarium in England and deepest one in Europe, which is located in Plymouth :D More nice pictures!! I will be in Tuesday in Plymouth too, but only for shopping with my German friends :)
I will tell you about these days, hope you guys from Germany are enjoying school, keep on and have a nice weekend :)

Hahaha xD

Slovakia, Sweden, Norway, Dutch.. We Are All In The Same Boat

I arrived in Torquay with the expectation to be the only German exchange student here. But it turned out as completly incorrect, I can count 22 German exchange students.. In my school!!
I know most of them and a lot of them are friends with me.. I thought that I wouldnt get any English friends here because I am always hanging out with the German friends.. FALSE!!
I was invited to relax at the beach Saturday evening by Erik, a Swedish friend here of me. I went there and it was absolutely amazing! There were some other exchange students from Westlands and I became very quickly friends with them. There were some others from Sweden, Norway, Dutch, Slovakia and of course England :D It was the very first time I met people here without any Germans.
Fantastic night, we have to do it again! :D

Mjamjamjam ~
I am talking with them now during the break, it is really funny to have different people from different countries. I can also learn their culture and behaviour, same for them :D Of course I wont neglect my German friends here, we will still meet and hang out :) I think I will write an extra part for ALL my friends I made here some day when I know them better xD Finally some international friends/English friends, waited so long for this!!
Weather here is also really nice the past few days but it will rain soon again I think...

Using iOS 6 panoramapicture for the first time :D
The sociology test on Monday was okay, I wrote like 4 pages, when I get the results I will post the task with my answer here. I hope to get a B... xD
We also have to write an essay in English language until Christmas but there is plenty time so I wont rush xD
On the Monday after half term holiday I will have a math test... So I need to learn during the holidays ..-.-
Only three more days to go... Then I have finally holiday :D I already planned what exactly I want to do, of course there will be lots of reports ;)

Double rainbow all the way o.O
The holidays in Germany are over, I wish you guys good luck in your exams! See you soon and have a nice evening.

First Success

Heeey :D
I am baaack!! Soo happy and amused right now! :D
Let me tell you why...
First of all on Monday our sociology teacher handed back our essay.. She gave me 3 points out of 12... Okay that was because I copied Florians essay because I totally forgot to make it xD He had 8 points and was one of the best in the class o.o That was not soo nice but nevermind.. We got so many homework to do now in every subject and this is very exhausting.. Our sociology teacher also announced an exam next week Monday.. So I have to be prepared, if I get a D it is possible that the teacher will kick me out of the class because I am too bad.. xD We had in English language on Tuesday a very funny task. We should write down as many words we know for penis and vagina... xDD The teacher here are soo cool :D

School assembly
So now I will describe you the part which makes me so happy:
We had the task to do a presentation in sociology to Thursday where we have a different, much better teacher. So Florian, Kathi, Soussana and I prepared a very good presentation and we held it in front of the class full of English pupils.. We were quite nervous.. So I had the task to define what functionalism is. I will write down what exactly I said, it is very long, you can skip it ;)

Unfortunatly we dont have a picture of our group...
Functionalism:
Functionalism or also structural functionalism called is the perspective in sociology according to which different but limited parts the society has. If we talk about funcionalism sociologists can explain social structures and social behaviour of a society and also their functions.
August Comte helped to develop functionalism in the 19th century but many sociologists are considering Herbert Spencer as the first true functionalist. He was born in 1820 and passed away 1903. He was a British philosopher and famous for applying the theory of natural selection. He also allude the analog of the human body to the society. Many theorists were influenced by his work.
Another functionalist called Emile Durkham is considered as the most important functionalist but it is also known that much of his analysts are culled from Spencers work. Durkham compared the Society with the human body. The body has many different organs but they are all linked together which gives the body the possibility to survive.
The society is like the same, we are all depending on each other. So functionalism is about the relationship between the different parts of the society. For example, the government or state provides education for children, in return their parents pay taxes. If they grow up they will be educated which leads to a well payed job. If all goes well, the parts of society produce order, stability and productivity.

Best teacher EVER!!!
That was it :D My part of the presentation. Guess what mark I got. Yeah right an A!! :D
The teamwork was just great, all of us did a good job and the class was astonished by our presentation. They have never seen such a good presentation before which wondered me but then I saw their presentation...
They just read out their text on the powerpointpresentation.. My first A here.. :3 Soo proud.. :D
Next week will be very irksome... I still have tons of homework to do, I have to learn for the exam and I want a B or better... And the rain wont stop...-.- The weather just sucks here.. You cant calculate the weather forecast for England.. Its impossible.. xD
Today after school an English friend spoke to me and said that I should wait because of a school fight.. Someone bullied a friend of a big group and they wanted to teach him a lesson.. Most of the teacher heard about it and even the police came to interrupt their plan. So basically nothing happened... ;)
I got more English friends now, it starts to work.. :D

Cool people.. :D
I still dont know exactly what I will do on the weekend.. Maybe I should do something for school or just relax with my friends... Any ideas? :D I hope you guys enjoyed reading, I will do some Chinese food now with Jimmy :)
See you soon and have a wonderful weekend! :D

Foggy morning..

Now the sun rises when I am going to school.. Not when I  wake up..
