First International Friends and BJJ
Heey :)
Like I promised I will write about my first time Brazilian Jiu Jitsu ( BJJ). It was really hard.. Our trainer had won the silver medal in the English Open a few years ago so he knows what he teaches. The gym is near the school so Kevin, Jimmy and me went there after school. I already practised the Japanese Jiu Jitsu ( JJJ) for like a half year so I was curious what the differences between those material arts might be. First of all we had a warm up which wasnt that hard. Then our trainer called Darren showed us the basics. So BJJ is more about the fighting on the ground not like JJJ where you start fighting while you stand. He learned how to force the enemy to surrender, how to choke, block, grab and stuff like that :D
It is very interesting, I will continue to learn it. The price is eight Pound per hour which is actually not bad, because we have private lessons. Fighting against Kevin and Jimmy is really hard because Kevin is so tall and Jimmy is so strong although he is smaller than me. Both of them weigh more than me... xD
The place where we train is also used for other material arts such as Muay Thai or MMA. They have a cage there where the people train MMA o.O Thats really cool but to dangerous for me. One hit and my rib would break xD Let me also tell you what I did the last two days.
Two days ago I was at Kathis home and we watched a film called "Earthlings". Its about how animals get treated during their life from their birth to the slaugher house. I have to say that the film is very impressiv and I would not recommend you guys to watch it if you are sensitive to animals. It is really hard to watch and I was at my limit. Just horrible I dont want to describe it here. You guys can surely imagen how disgusting it is when even I think its to nasty... So the braves one should watch it and those who like meat shouldnt. I still got those awful pictures in my head when I eat meat...-.-
After the film Kathi cooked me a vegan meal which was very very delicious.. *__* Asian spicy noodles with vegetables :D
The weather here is changing every two seconds... When I walked to school it rained like hell but as I arrived there the sun comes out...xD
Yesterday I asked a Sweden exchange student if he wants to hang out in town with me. I want to learn more about the other exchange students here, like about their culture and their way of life. He speaks very good English so I can improve my English when I am talking to him. We went to Caffee Nero and coincidentally met two of his friends, one from the Neatherlands and one from Norway :D
So we had a multicultural meeting there xD We talked about school and stuff and I really like them. They are completly different than the German teenagers xD Soo crazy but in a positive way :D
I dont know if you guys recognize it yet but I think my English speaking improved a lot these 25 days and maybe my writing skills are also improving :D
I also heard that you guys in Germany had your first exam today ;D I hope you will get a good mark, report it to me I am very curious about it :)
On Friday I will tell you detailed about my school subjects and what I do in my free periods :)
I hope you enjoyed reading this post, sadly my Iphone recharger broke yesterday so I couldnt took many photos... Good night and see you soon :)

Discover!!
My first week at Westlands is over now..
I am starting to love this school :D The teacher are all very nice, in my free periods I always have something to do and the students at Westlands are all very curious about me and the other Chinese here. Whenever I am in the school cantine some random guys ask me questions like: "Do you wanna be my friend?" and stuff like that :D
You have to watch it, Fabian did some awesome work:

It is very funny :) Math here is very easy. Besides math I chose business studies and sociology. I didnt had business studies yet but my teacher will be my tutor, so I think it will be fun :)
Bruce sleeping in math.. xD |
Sociology is very interesting, I still dont know what exactly we are learning there but we talked about childhood last lesson. I think most of you knows the Korean song "Gangnam Style". Everyone here, really everyone knows it here at my school :D In the iMacroom they always tune it on and sing and dance to it :D
We are planning a flashmob at the very big footballfield we have here :3

I also found new friends, one called Eric from Sweden, Peter from Slovakia some Italiens and two English students :D
I am very glad that the students here dont make any racist jokes, they are respecting each other. In the free lesson periods I am always talking to them or we are playing table tennis :D They are all soo good here :)
I talked to my parents yesterday and they told me again how important it is to be good at school. I think if I relax like the past 20 days I will have serious problems in Germany when I am doing my Abitur xD
So I will start working harder next week. After this post I will even do my homeworks xD

My timetable |
Enough school talk, we have weekend now :D Today some German friends and me wanted to discover a hole near the cliffs where we once did our barbecue. Sadly the flood came very quickly so we didnt make it in time. We went to another cliff and took some awesome photos. I was climbing a bit but then I slipped and my hands were injured xD Just a bit, nothing serious xD
Happy Martin :3 |
After that we went to my favourite caffee bar Nero :3 I decided to try tennis here in Torquay so I bought a new racket. I have the feeling that I will do lots of sports here :D On Tuesday I will visit the first time the MMA club here and if I like it I will go there two days a week. Tennis is very cheap here so I will play tennis once or twice a week. Besides those activities I also have to walk 50 minutes to school :D I think this year will be amazing... Three weeks now and I am getting really exited :D I also have holidays in one month and we are planning to do a London trip for two or three days :D There are so many things I want to try.. For example paintball or quad :D Next week we are maybe going for paintball :3
Soo tasty :3 |
Soo happy right now, cool school, nice friends, the only thing which angers me is the weather here.. It is really sunny and it rained only two times since I am here but its waaaay to cold.. 2°C in the morning and 14°C in the afternoon... I am freezing every morning when I am going to shower xD
I will have some food now, on Tuesday I will report you guys then how my first time Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was!
See you soon, and enjoy the pictures :D

Westlands and Something Cruel..
Heey my beloved friends and readers :)
Yesterday was my first schoolday at Westlands. I woke up at 6:15 o clock because I was afraid that I wont be able to do the 50 minutes walk to school with Jimmy. So he planned to go earlier with me because we could do some breaks on the way. But the opposite of that case happened. We just walked 40 minutes and were way to early at school. We walked uphill and downhill but the most surprising thing was that I walked the way all at once. I wasnt tired of the long walk while Jimmy nearly kicked the bucket... He was so exhausted of my fast and straight walk although I told him that my condition is not the best. I think its because I am taller than him, so when I walk two steps, he would need three xD
The students need a special card to pass thru the supervisor. I didnt had one but somehow I managed to went in the building xD Before the first lesson starts, all the sixth form students had to go to their tutor, it was my first day so I didnt had one. I just followed Jimmy to his tutor class and introduced myself. His tutor is really smart and told me that I could stay. Besides Jimmy I know Marc and Melanie there, both also German exchange students like me. There was also another girl sitting next to Jimmy and she talked with him. It turns out that she is from Germany too, even from Berlin! I spoke to her a bit in English, because she doesnt like if we speak German with eachother. Its understandable because we wont improve our English skills if we always speak German together. The tutoring began at 8:20 and ended at 8:45. The tutor just checked if everyone were here. He listed all the names. Everyone was there except Bruce, Pauls hostbrother from Macao.
After the tutoring Jimmy showed me where the office of the secretairy is and I chose three subjects. Math, history and sociology. In each subject I have at least one person I already know. I was send immediately to the history class.. First day and triple history xD My classmates in Berlin know how poor my history knowledge is xD We are actually talking about the first world war.. I like the way how the teacher inform us about it. After the three lessons I had three free lessons. There is a rule at the White House Guardianship which says that all exchange students have to stay at school until 14:30... Hm.. Guess if I stayed or not :P
After school I went to town with Jimmy and Kevin, also from Macao. We went to the big wheel and shot some really nice pictures :) After that we had fish & chips.. :3 I tried them with vinegar, it wasnt as bad as I expected :D After that I met Kathi in town and we relaxed at the wall and at the coffee bar Nero :3
At 17:30 we met Jonas, Franzi and Marc and had some really nasty fun together :D
The second schoolday started very good. I woke up at 6:45 o clock and realized how much a half hour of sleep can be :) Jimmy and me walked to the school, coincidientally we have the same tutor class. The tutor announced the percentage of the attendance by the students. Most of the students in our class got more than 90%, but Bruce had a ver low score with only 53%. The teacher talked to him. So if your score fall below 95% your parents will be called and if you fall below 75% youre seriously grounded... But the tutor gave Bruce one more chance xD
So the school is very very big.. Westlands has three buildings, one for sixth formers only, one building for the lessons and one swimming hall.
It is also very funny there. My Chinese friends and me were querering at the cafeteria to buy some foods and we heard from behind some girls saying stuff like: "Oh my gosh we have Chinese here?? Look how cute they are.. Did you see the one with brown hair? I think he dyed it, lets speak to them if they finished!" We bought things but didnt recognized them afterwards.. xD
Beeing open minded is no problem at all here. I spoke on my first two days with more English students than the whole week at TCC... One English guy has a Chinese tattoo on his arm.. He expected that the five simbols would mean "I love my mom" but those five simbols actually mean" I love your mom".. o.O
So he got upset and want to laser the tattoo away xD All of the English students thought that I am from Macao and they acted so surprised as I told them that I am German xDD
In math I was sitting next to an Sweden exchange student called Eric. He is really kind and smart and tall o.O
Sooo cool this school.. Only two days there and I am so enthused :D
Tomorrow I will have the first time sociology.. To be honest I dont know what this yet I chose it xD
I will tell you later what this subject is about :) So as you can see I am very very happy right now :D
There is only one thing which bothers me.. So from now on, dont read is if you like KFC!!
I have a vegan friend here. She is really smart and really informed about beeing vegan. So I began to google why people would start to be vegan or vegetarian. The most two common reasons I found was first I dont like the taste of the meat and second I dont like it when animals have to die just because I can eat them.. So the first reason is in my opinion crap. Seriously I dont like onions or garlic either but I would still eat it if those things are in my meal. The second one bothered me now a bit longer. I did research in how animals get treated before they land on our plate. I watched some videos and saw one called "What KFC is doing to chickens"...This five minute long video opened my eyes.. From now on I wont eat at KFC anymore. Its just horrible how the animals get treated and the concern gives a fuck on it. I didnt post a Youtube link here because its up to you if you want to watch this short documentation. If you like KFC but you care about how the chicken get treated then you better watch it.
The vegan friend here is going to convince me to be a vegetarian.. xD
I can tell you at this moment it is impossible for me to be a vegetarian but if I hang out with her more I think she will able to do it.. xD
It really hurts me as I watched the video so I wanted to give you my opinion about that. My friends who knows me very very well will think: "Dafaq did I just read?". But seriously, trust me. Watch the video if you want. Feel free to discuss with me message me on Facebook :) This is the very first time I spend my time on watching how animals beeing treated and it wont be the last time :)
What I also want to say is that I am going to post an article now every two or three days from now on. I am very busy in school now, I even do the homeworks xD
I will write you in the future about the most exited and newest things which take place at my life here in Torquay :)
Leave a comment good night and sleep well and see you soon :D

Leaving TTC and Getting Homesick..
Today was a very sad day.. It was my last schoolday at the Teignmouth Community College. I will go to the Westland College in the future.. The decision was not easy but I cant wake up every morning this early, its too exhausting and too annoying. Sorry to all of those friends I made these days. We will keep contact, I will surely visit you soon. To all of my English friends I made there, I wish you a good graduation! Keep going on and thank you for guiding me around campus when I was too confused to find the lesson room xD
The farewell was not easy although I just went one week to this school. The headteacher and all the other teachers wished me the very best at my new school and they said to me that the doors here are open and I am always welcome... What an affecting goodbye!
Besides the school I will also miss the lunch with Vincent at the coffee shop in town.. The food there is just amazing, I spend too much money there last week xD
Now I am looking forward to Westlands. I am curious what kind of school it will be. I just heard rumors that they have dozen of iMacs in the computerroom... o.O But okay xD If the school has the money why not :P
Cant wait for tomorrow.. First of all I can sleep longer and I will save a lot of money because I dont have to buy traincards now :D
Lets talk about yesterday..
Yesterday was the worst day for me here in Torquay yet... I woke up at 15 o clock and had nothing to do. So I started to think about my family and friends and of course my guinea pigs... -__-
I am missing them soo much.. Really.. Only 14 more weeks and I am able to see you guys :D
I think I will join the MMA Club here. If I get bored, I will think of Berlin and stuff like that and this will enhance my homesickness.... Seriously its already more than two weeks since I left Berlin.. o.O
When I am back in Berlin the first thing I will do is going to the restaurant of my parents and order the whole menu... Chinese food.. Missing it sooo much...
Okay, I will post in two days a big report about the Westlands College. Make sure you are going to read this! :D This will gonna be legen... Wait for it... dary! :D Good night and sleep well :)

Exeter and Being Open Minded
Heeey my friends :D
I am at the happiest moment right now :D
I got a message from my local coordinator here but I will talk about it later ;D
I am at the happiest moment right now :D
I got a message from my local coordinator here but I will talk about it later ;D
I will first talk about yesterday...
Yesterday was the very first time, where an English student spoke to me on her own :D
It was during geographics, I changed applied business to it because the lesson was to boring.. Her name is Kristiana and she is really crazy xD Crazy in a positive way xD We had group work together and she wanted to learn some German words. After lesson I went with her to the commoner room and we talked a lot. She is a very funny girl who laughs at everything and saying crazy things... :D

After the break I went home then because I had no lesson anymore.. So maybe I will have some more talk to her on Monday where I have three lesson psychology with her :D The head teacher told us to be open minded and we are actually very open minded but the most of the students around campus are looking not interested in us so we hold back and didnt talked much with the English students here. Maybe Kristina will introduce me to some of her friends..
Good weather for a nice trip |
Enough school talk :D Today I woke up very early.. At 7:30 I ate breakfast and went to town then. Do you know why? No? :)
Well my German friends here and me went to Exeter today :D We were 11 people... Too much in my opinion.. xD
Well my German friends here and me went to Exeter today :D We were 11 people... Too much in my opinion.. xD
The ticket to Exeter costs only 3 Pounds.. o.O What kind of sorcery is this?? xD
A train ticket to Teignmouth costs 5 Pounds but a train ticket to Exeter only 3 Pounds?? We had to travel twice the time than I would usually do to Teignmouth..
Loads of train tickets.. :D |
But ok xD We met at 9:30 at our favourite spot and walked to the train station Torquay. We catched the train at 10:28 and travelled about one hour. As we arrived in Exeter we realized something... Exeter is soooo much bigger than Torquay xD The shopping street was comparable with the Berliner Wilmersdorfer Straße, even bigger! We went to Primark and some of us bought a pandabonnet xD
Cute, or? :D |
During the travel around the town everyone was looking at us :D I finally found an Asia supermarket..!
Walking in, looking around and feeling better... :D I bought some Chinese instant noodles and drinks.
Instant noodles, Tea and Korean rice :3 |
Around 17 o clock we decided to go to Starbucks and relax... We later catched the train at 18:30 to Torquay again. As we arrived there we went to the place where we had barbecue last time. The view from the cliff again was just amazing... After some photoshooting we went to Pizza Hut and had dinner :D
I am very happy as I arrived my house at 22 o clock after a very exhausting but funny day :)
I am so lucky to met those guys, without them it would be much more boring in town xD
I am so lucky to met those guys, without them it would be much more boring in town xD
Cheers! Lets have a good year together! :) |
Okay now to the message from Nikki, my coordinator here. As I walked in my house my hostmother was already waiting for me. She told me that Nikki had phoned her and she told her that I am able to switch school to Westlands :D :D That message made my day to a perfect day :D Its just sad that I have to say goodbye to my new friends at Teignmouth Community College but it is impossible for me to wake up every morning at 5:30 and pay everyday 5 Pound because of the travelling by train... So Monday or Tuesday will be my last day at TCC.. I will enjoy the day and maybe I will still have contact with those guys :D Kristina is such a cute and kind girl, I really hope that she will do her best to get the best A-Levels! :) Good luck in the future, we will sure meet again, maybe I will come over to a Teignmouth party at the court ;D
Well, it is very late now.. I am tired, exhausted, happy and flashed at the same time xD
I think I will go sleeping in a few minutes :)
On Monday I will tell you how my day was. I actually will have a personal talk with Nikki on Monday, looking forward this.. :D
Leave a comment, have a nice weekend and see you soon! :)
