Exchange Year In Torquay: Grief

As I mentioned some weeks before, June is the month which afraids me most. A lot of good friends are leaving and in the end I will leave as well.

We enjoyed her last few days here by visiting all the places she had been such as Cockington Village, Babbacombe Beach and so on. Without realising it her last day came.. I went to her place after dinner and we had a really nice time. We wanted to pretend that everything is fine but somehow I just had to remind myself that she wont be here tomorrow again.. We watched through all of her pictures which she took here during her five month exchange year and remembered all the funny parts. Time flew by and I had to say goodbye.. Not easy to handle especially not for me.. I gave her a little present which I made by myself, like a photobook with some quotes in there.

Good old memories..

After she left I realized how different it is here. Not only me but also her other friends such as Lisa. We both are already suffering by the fact that she wont come back again.. She sent us a letter when she left with some nice last words. Oh god, why is this all happening.. I cant handle farewells, I really hate them.. In five more days all the exchange students from EF will go home as well which means I have to say goodbye to Erik, Peter, Lucia and Mira as well..

Well it prepares me for my future. Situations like these will come often through my life and the more I experience them the more I am prepared for that. At least she arrived safe and happy and I am sure that I will see her again!! :)

Since I needed some distraction, I invited Florian over to my place for a sleepover. To be honest, we didnt slept at all, well I had a powernap for a few minutes but I think that doesnt count. We played through the night and had some funny talks as well.

The weather is at its climax. Its getting colder again so I decided to enjoy the last bits of the sun at meatfood beach with friends :)
10 days and my mum will be here...
